“Wait Until It Dries” is an exhibition based on the context of oil as a material. On a metaphorical level, oil also represents the relationships in the artist’s family history. Echoing the theme of a traditional Chinese family, the exhibition layout follows that of a typical Taiwanese courtyard, while the artwork “Endless Corridor” explores the theme of walls and separation. Reflecting on important notions such as identity, family, loneliness, Chinese traditions, paternity, living space, longing and eternity, this exhibition aims to resound with everyone’s memory.
