Z5

Z5 is a haematology analyser for small laboratories. The cut-away lower section of the casing front reduces the footprint while also giving the device its iconic appearance. This places the optical focus on the convex HD touchscreen. The bevelled frame edges allow the screen surface to appear less massive. When holding the test tube beneath the suction pipe, the user simply presses the oblong blue button with the knuckles to draw up the fluid. The image of a drop provides a recurring design motif and is intended to refer to the handling of fluids.

The Z5 sparks enthusiasm with its unconventional aesthetic and functional clarity. Its logical layout makes it easy to understand and thus leads the user intuitively through the analysis process.
