The Zapp i300 Carbon performance city bike is based on an innovative exoskeleton. This system creates the scooter’s architecture with very few components, meaning that the vehicle requires only three load-bearing metal parts that also form the chassis. This results in striking design features of the Zapp i300 Carbon, such as the seat that appears to float freely above the rear fork. The jury said: “The innovative Z-shaped frame design gives the Zapp i300 a functional character and a futuristic appearance with a high degree of recognition.” Another innovation is the ultra-portable battery solution – two flat batteries that can be removed for charging.
