Zore Zalo is a grape-based alcoholic aperitif, containing approximately 43 per cent alcohol per volume. The objective was to create packaging that clearly illustrates the aperitif’s character and highlights its peculiarity. The name comes from the Cretan dialect and means “difficult step”, reflecting the elaborate and handcrafted way in which Zore Zalo is produced exclusively on the island of Crete. The packaging design aims to express, in a minimalistic way, these product features and particu- larly the full flavour and purity, which result from its organic production, thus vividly highlighting its bold, masculine character.
