Red Dot: What makes your award-winning product, the OMNIS-DUO DJ equipment, special?
With a professional-grade interface and ample battery life, the OMNIS-DUO enables DJ performances in environments that were previously challenging, like beaches or camping grounds. What makes it special is the experience it offers – connecting with friends through music. The idea came from wanting to turn the act of song selection – traditionally done solely by the DJ – into something everyone at the party can be a part of. Here, the OMNIS-DUO introduces a new context for DJing, combining both functionality and beauty.
What other quality features were important?
The OMNIS-DUO was designed to feel intuitive and effortless, no matter where or how you use it. From seasoned professionals to casual enthusiasts, it delivers a level of quality that inspires confidence. We opted for an indigo colour over conventional black for a unique look and paid close attention to every detail – both in appearance and tactile feel. Whether you’re performing or simply carrying it, we wanted each interaction to reflect the reliability of a truly dependable piece of gear.
It is a system for digital tracks – what made you stick to the traditional two-deck layout?
For most all-in-one DJ systems that combine player and mixer functionality, a two-deck layout is the industry standard. The OMNIS-DUO wasn’t designed for overly complex or unconventional performance styles – instead, it’s built for casually enjoying a familiar style of DJing, anytime and anywhere. From that perspective, we felt a classic two-deck setup was the right choice.
