Red Dot Award: Brands & Communication Design 2022

Red Dot Jury

Expertise and experience unite the jurors of the Red Dot Award: Brands & Communication Design. They evaluate the projects and brands in a process lasting several days.

The 2022 Red Dot Jury comprises 24 jurors from 12 countries. What they all have in common is their design expertise, which they have accumulated during their careers as professors, communication designers or journalists.

The evaluation process

All of the works and projects entered as well as the brands taking part in the competition are assessed by an international jury in a process lasting several days. The competition entries are inspected individually and assessed in terms of their design quality and creative achievement.

When evaluating the works and projects entered as well as the individual brands, various criteria provide a frame of reference for the discussions by the jury. In the section “Communication Design”, these range from originality and creativity, design quality and level of innovation to understandability and emotionality; In the section “Brands”, the vision and brand values, design and brand communication as well as brand identity and differentiation are evaluated.
