The arolla remote control has managed to drastically reduce the use of plastics. The housing is made of solid Austrian pine, sourced from a single tree. The printed circuit board is made of paper, and bio-based material containing cellulose is used for the mechanical controls. This makes the device almost completely recyclable. With its warm grain, slender silhouette and the interplay of materials, it harmonises with any high-quality interior.

Statement by the Jury

Thanks to its innovative choice of materials, the arolla remote control follows the principle of the circular economy. It is therefore exemplary of greater sustainability in electronic devices.
