Biome Couch

At its core, the Biome Couch is a sustainable solution to the problems faced by the furniture industry and the unsustainable rates of furniture production and disposal. Couches, in particular, contribute to staggering amounts of waste each year, due to damage, wear and tear, and immobility. To respond to these problems, the designers used Xorel fabric, which has wonderful cleaning and stain resistant properties. The Biome Couch’s components may be taken apart and can be safely machine washed. The ease of assembly is mirrored by the ease of transportation and packing. Furthermore, the materials used for the couch, if not completely biodegradable, are fit for reuse and recycling.
