“Enduring, not ultimate form”: from “Industrieform” to Red Dot (1980 - 1997)
Polycycle Illumination
Plastic bags are harmful to marine animals because they are often mistaken for jellyfish and food. Polycycle Illumination repurposes discarded PE plastic bags into elegant, jellyfish-shaped table lamps. By heat-pressing plastic bags into flexible, translucent sheets, these are crafted using parametric design and CNC fabrication. The design showcases marine life’s beauty, urging individuals to reduce plastic waste and promoting ocean conservation.
