Brut Watch

Maven’s Brut Watch is inspired by the Brutalist movement and shares its many similarities in terms of ideologies and form. Brut Watch juxtaposes a seemingly harsh and severe aesthetic with refined finish and function, both of which are inherent Maven characteristics. Aside from telling time, the watch seeks to preserve Brutalism’s values. Maven has accomplished this in several ways, one of which is by emphasising bare materials and structural elements over decorative design. The rugged appearance of the sandblasted stainless-steel case and sunburst dial, for example, complement each other. The Brut Watch is finished to the highest standard and features an instantly recognisable Maven identity. Its circular face sits within a square frame in a very minimalist design that lets the textures speak for themselves.
