The size and details of this mortar and pestle are determined by combining the best characteristics of a grinder and the best materials, based on user experience and habits. The Cast Iron Spice Grinder consists of a main holding bowl, a mortar (grinding) base and a pestle. The bowl and the mortar base can be combined or detached to be used or stored separately. The mortar base has a rougher texture on one side for heavier grinding. The pestle can also be used on both ends, with one end for grinding more delicate ingredients.
