Chinese New Year Exhibition
The key visual for this culture and design series exhibition was inspired by New Year’s door signs. These traditional folk door signs with rich auspicious patterns are cut out of coloured paper and fixed under the lintel to welcome the New Year. The use of these signs as an image element not only fits the theme of the exhibition, but also creates a festive atmosphere. The colour palette reflects traditional clay sculpture, using red, cypress green, peach red, yellow and other colours to portray a cheerful image of celebrating the New Year. In addition, the font combination and layout of the exhibition poster is a consistent reinterpretation of these elements.
