Connected Sensor For Foot Brace Compliance
To ensure children use their brace correctly, a low-cost, low-power on-board sensor is designed to be added to MiracleFeet’s existing range of foot braces.
The design focuses on using efficient sensing technologies, power management, mechanical integration, and connectivity options for remote monitoring. The sensor’s software design allows the device to be used without required the children to change their behaviour. Data download is fully automated and occurs at regular intervals. The device can store several months’ worth of data if a connection is not established or the user does not have access to a suitable mobile device.
