The design of the Ducati 1199 Panigale S explores new paths by challenging the perception of beholders. The aim was to free the motorcycle of any unnecessary details and thus link the form back to its origins. This reduction in design produced a motorcycle with a well-balanced and dynamic look, and which fascinates particularly with its visually appealing combination of round shapes and large surfaces. The Ducati 1199 Panigale S showcases solid but agile dynamics that convey elegance and power at the same time. A single harmonious line runs from the front fairing all the way to the back of the bike, where the rear light is set into the slender tail in an innovative and artful manner. Another new and surprising design aspect of the Ducati 1199 Panigale S is presented in the arrangement of the LED headlights: they were formally integrated to become part of the front air intakes. The design of the engine and the exhaust pipe also is similarly surprising. Only partly concealed, they tease the eye, creating a perfect symbiosis between what is visible and what remains invisible.
