Elekta Unity MR-linac is an innovative radiation therapy system, which integrates high-field magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) with precision radiation dosing. The main challenge was to merge two complex technologies – an MRI scanner and a linear accelerator – in one system. Key to this was considering the system as a room, not a machine. The cutting-edge visual design fosters a comforting, reassuring atmosphere.
