Fifteen Seconds Festival – Opener

This opening animation for the Fifteen Seconds Festival, held annually in Graz, Austria, was projected onto the surface of 21 stacked shipping containers. These were coated with a white projection foil to optimise the light output of the already bright projectors used. “Perspective mappings” added an extra element of reality to the piece as a whole. Previews projected onto a scale model of the shipping container setup at the film studio’s post-production facility during the creation allowed both animation team and client to get a better idea of the magnitude of the final product.
