Gas Detector

This Gas Detector aims to rethink the design of a methane and carbon monoxide detector for the home, with an emphasis on aesthetics, functionality and usability. The appearance of the device is a visual representation of the function that it serves. Inspired by the flow of air, its shape represents how air flows through the device. A test button allows users to check the device’s performance. In addition to the standard light indicators, extra bright lighting for the hearing impaired can be projected onto the wall as well as the device itself. Because the device has two location options, visual indication is visible from all sides. Depending on the type of gas to be detected, it must be wall-mounted closer to the floor or to the ceiling. A loud sound alarm is also included.
