Gift Packaging

Jiji Mountain

This gift packaging design pays tribute to the region of Nantou County and its citizens, who did not lose their positive attitude after the devastating earthquake which had struck Taiwan in 1999. It presents illustrations of Jiji Mountain, for example, a place where mountain bananas grow, and the symbol for “one thousand”, which stands for good quality. The box can be opened like a banana from top to bottom – inside, there are four packets of processed food made from mountain bananas. They can be stacked and put into a mountain-shaped box, which shows scenes of local life.
