The Junior Academy of Sciences is a well-known science organisation for children in Ukraine. Due to its centuries-long history, the visual identity was previously represented by archaic symbols such as an owl wearing a student’s cap. The relaunch aims to convey that the academy is a progressive educational organisation for everybody. The main idea of the new brand design is that even such a difficult subject as science is in fact a synthesis of simple elements. To illustrate this, primary colours were combined and new colours created. The new logotype is unconventional, portraying the notion that science requires creativity and courage.
