Online Shop
Kiezkaufhaus
Kiezkaufhaus (a neighbourhood store) is an online shop offering users the convenience of ordering products from local independent stores in Wiesbaden. Users thus support local businesses that shape the image of the city and have to stand up against the competition of anonymous chain stores. In addition, online shopping in these local stores reduces unnecessary CO₂ emissions due to long delivery routes. Since these little stores lack merchandise planning and control systems, Kiezkaufhaus uses photographs of the shop interiors as an interface. The user then simply points to a product with the mouse and clicks on the item to put it into their virtual shopping cart.
