Knock-Knock Brick

Back Download

The Knock-Knock Bricks have a hollow structure that produces different tones when struck. Since the blind are unable to benefit from street signs, directional signs, and street indicators for bus stops, restrooms, hospitals, and other public facilities, Knock-Knock Bricks are designed to help the blind in determining various navigational information with their canes. The bricks enable the blind to quickly learn about the public facilities around them, become acquainted with their surroundings, and make full use of the public facilities and resources, allowing them to live better in the city. The general public can also acquire visual information from the patterns on the surfaces of the bricks. Red Dot Award: Design Concept | Concept | Public Space
