The Lamy 2000 is fascinating with its seamless, matte-brushed finish and smooth transitions of its product segments. All visible parts are made of solid stainless steel. The combination of design, material and surface structure results in sublime elegance and a weight that promotes a comfortable writing experience. Characteristic, contrasting details, such as individual chamfers and lower surfaces, have a polished finish. In all cases, the clip is spring-mounted and displays a high-gloss finish on the back. The fountain pen features a gold nib and a piston mechanism, the ballpoint pen the usual push mechanism, while the roller ball, like the fountain pen, has a cap. The mechanical pencil features a push mechanism with integrated eraser tip and comes with a 0.7 mm lead refill.
