This book documents the 150year history and development of the American University of Beirut. Divided into five thematic chapters, the book traces the university’s growth in a historically significant order and in visually outstanding images. The design was inspired by AUB founder Reverend Daniel Bliss’s “Diary of Achievements”, using identical fonts and focusing on the book’s academic and timeless value, as well as on the Middle East region’s rich visual heritage. Additional design guidelines included elegant Arabic typography and a layout aesthetic aligned to modern production values.
