Less Plastic Toothbrush

Back Download

Plastic toothbrushes are used every day and are also discarded quickly. Toothbrushes are also extremely difficult to recycle because they are primarily made of rubber and nylon. Less Plastic Toothbrush aims to reduce the amount of discarded plastic that comes from toothbrush use. Firstly, the toothbrush handle has a “cut” core that reduces the amount of plastic material used by 20%. This design feature also functions as a useful “clip” that allows the toothbrush to be stored upright. Second, in terms of packaging, it uses an eco-friendly moulded pulp tray with an eco-friendly clear sealing film to ensure that the packaging is completely biodegradable. The moulded pulp tray is shaped to evoke an environmentally friendly and calm mood. By using minimal graphics and soft pastel colour palettes for the toothbrushes, the overall design choices perfectly complement the natural materials used.
