Muscle Armor

Muscle Armor was developed to assist with walking training for various motor dysfunctions of the lower limbs, for instance following a stroke or spinal cord injury. In contrast to conventional robotic devices worn on the body, this smart system aids the body not by alleviating weight but by anticipating the patient’s movements and providing direct assistance for the target muscles. This means that walking training can be adjusted to match the patient’s movement intentions in the best possible way. The leg holders are made of ultra-light carbon fibre, so that the overall construction weighs as little as 3 kg. The soft padded straps are comfortable to wear and can be quickly and easily adjusted to fit the body size.

Muscle Armor is impressively lightweight and flexible, so that it is pleasant to wear and does not restrict the patient’s movements.
