Shaping communication

Video conferencing has been thrust into the spotlight in the COVID-19 pandemic and is now part of everyday life. Designed as an all-in-one touchscreen video conferencing device for Zoom and Microsoft Teams, Neat Frame impresses with its elegant portrait orientation design. This form factor is based on the need to allocate screen space more “rationally” both for a better user experience and in terms of content. The design process itself also followed the goal of being able to include the “unexpected”. Neat Frame allows for a better screen arrangement of people and content and raises the camera to eye level for more “natural” communication. People are automatically framed and tracked on the screen so they can move around freely. It also features sophisticated audio technology for superior sound while removing unwanted background noise. The 2.5D shaping of the cover glass and natural materials lend the device a friendly and accessible feel. The rear surface is sleek and contrasted by minimal details that emphasise the product’s simplicity, build quality and Scandinavian design heritage. Practical features include a manual privacy shutter and an integrated carrying handle that is also part of the cooling system. The user-friendly design allows companies to deploy Neat Frame easily across multiple scenarios to achieve a consistent user experience for both remote and in-office teams.

At the same time, the challenge of an optimised screen layout has been implemented convincingly and coherently.
