NG800 is an IoT gateway to connect vehicles to wireless networks. With its technical and visual implementation, the device sets ecological and aesthetic standards in a field that otherwise caters mostly for functionality only. Visualising the flow of power and data in the device, the slim groove structure on the upper side embodies the main design element. Highly functional, it serves as reinforcement in order to generate the necessary contact pressure for the seal.
Statement by the Jury
In this IoT gateway, form and function engage in convincing symbiosis. The NG800 thus also aims to set aesthetic accents in a technical environment.
