“November” addresses the epidemic of depression, playing out single moments in the life of a depressed young woman. The protagonist, who works as a driver for a medical examiner’s office, finds it hard to cope with the parallels of her personal and professional life. In the film, quiet tones and long shots capture a cloudy mood, while opposing character traits are used to show the perils of miscommunication. In order to make the viewer feel connected, the film is nearly exclusively shot with a handheld camera and appeals to the audience with true-to-life images.
