“Enduring, not ultimate form”: from “Industrieform” to Red Dot (1980 - 1997)
Parking Kiosk for the Socially Disadvantaged
This kiosk detects approaching cars and extends the smart card reader automatically for disabled or inexperienced drivers. It focuses on card payments, eliminating cash for a slimmer design. Emergency calls can be made via a button, and the Korean Won symbol (₩) indicates it’s a payment machine. The contactless receipt button has a hand sensor to minimise bacterial contamination.
