The Philips Secure Connect System uses multiple encrypted channels from the baby unit to the parent unit as well as to the app, creating a stable and secure private connection. The baby unit features a Full HD camera including night vision and digital zoom to provide clear images day and night. The parent unit has a range of 400 metres at home. With the accompanying app, an uninterrupted connection to the baby can be maintained via mobile internet or Wi-Fi. A central aspect of the design was the concept of Philips Eco Design, which primarily pursues an improvement in energy efficiency on the part of the user. In addition, it also reflects the sustainable mindset of many young parents and the awareness of “green parenting”.
