PLAY is a new entertainment brand born out of the merger of two major television and telecommunications companies. The challenge was to create the visual and sonic identities of the mother brand and its eight sub-brands. Therefore, a new generation of logotypes was created, each associating the brand name PLAY with the respective sub-brand’s name and the sub-brand’s identifying colour. The first letter of the brand name is transformed by rotation, making the “P” look like either a start symbol or a heart. The brand design was created with variability in mind to fit all of the usages, such as mobile consumption.
