Shadow Screen

Shadow Screen, with its delicate lines and elegant structure, expresses the poetry of contemporary Eastern aesthetic. It can be used as a partition for spaces, or a little rest stand with a ledge. It emulates the translucent characteristic of silk to express a subtle oriental beauty. One of the earliest animal fibres used by human beings, silk is one of the inventions of ancient Chinese civilisation. Shadow Screen embodies the philosophical exchange of Chinese Zen, Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism in art. Metaphysics has always injected the noumenon of ‘tao’ into Chinese art, while Zen has injected the noumenon of ‘heart’ into Chinese art. The collision and integration of these two thoughts are applied to the contemporary furniture design of Shadow Screen to create a series that is both cultural and international, practical and poetic.
