The Sydney Opera House was the source of inspiration for the dynamic, open angles and contours of the tap. An aerator reduces the water volume by 40 per cent and increases the soft feeling of the jet on the skin. By simply unscrewing it, limescale is quickly removed. Setting the two-step cartridge to a particular position reduces the water flow by another 50 per cent. In the centre setting, only cold water is supplied. The interior is made of high-quality, recyclable brass.

Statement by the Jury

A major issue in the basin mixer Sydney is the conservation of resources: the material is recyclable; water flow and temperature are kept as low as possible.
