Trail of Hope

The drama “Trail Of Hope”, which takes place in Mauretania, Africa, deals emphatically with the issue of women’s rights. An abusive and self-centred taxi driver meets a young woman on the deserted highway to Nouadhibou. Minutes after he has dropped her at her home, the taxi driver realises that the woman has left her baccalaureate prep papers in the car. He drives back to give them to her but only finds her parents. With mixed emotions of shock, wonder and respect, he sits with her parents to listen to a story of emotional and physical abuse which teaches him a lesson.
