“Enduring, not ultimate form”: from “Industrieform” to Red Dot (1980 - 1997)
Vanco Airplane Hair Clipper
The Vanco Airplane Hair Clipper not only looks like a toy airplane, but it also makes a soft airplane noise to help the child become accustomed to the sound of a hair clipper. It can be used as an interaction between parents and children before a haircut to strengthen their emotional bond and help the child develop trust in the hair cutting process.
The hair clipper is made up of three parts: a toy head with a propeller, a main body, and combs on both sides. The toy head protects the blade but can also be detached and used as a toy to distract the child during the haircut. The teeth of the combs on both sides have different densities to provide the hairdresser with functional options.
