“Enduring, not ultimate form”: from “Industrieform” to Red Dot (1980 - 1997)

woom, an Austrian company, has already won several Red Dot Awards for the product design of its children’s bicycles. With its updated branding, woom underscores this creative standard and moves slightly away from the familiar playfulness of the brand identity in order to expand the target group to include older children. The brand communication is based on a clear visual identity centred on the logo with its rounded logotype in a distinctive red. The imagery, tonality and a range of patterns and illustrations make the brand identity likeable, diverse and unmistakeable, while a structured design system ensures that a consistent message is delivered across all media.
