Electric Violin

YEV

The electric violin YEV combines excellent playability and natural sound with an extraordinary design. Its remarkably open basic body consists of maple which is reinforced with mahogany bars, combined with selected spruce. The distinctive designed frame was built from five layers of laminated walnut wood formed to a Moebius strip. With approx. 550 grams, the violin hardly weighs more than an acoustic one. A piezo pick-up is integrated into the maple bridge. It renders a warm sound pattern with an overtone spectrum and produces finest play nuances. The resin tailpieces are provided with fine tuners. If required, chin and shoulder rests can be mounted.

Statement by the Jury

On the one hand, the electric violin YEV inspires with its unique design and the elaborate manufacture of selected woods, and on the other hand by a sound pattern that comes close to that of an acoustic instrument.
