Red Dot: The name Briza Net Zero already refers to the goal of an emissions-free future. To what extent does your product line contribute to achieving this goal?
The Briza Net Zero Climate Radiator strongly represents our vision of climate-conscious design. It was developed to work in synergy with low-carbon energy sources such as heat pumps and combines heating, cooling and ventilation in a single, energy-efficient unit. This not only reduces the number of devices needed in a building but also noticeably reduces energy consumption and environmental impact.
Which of the four design qualities – function, use, seduction or responsibility – do you think is most pronounced in your product?
While all four qualities are integral to the product’s identity, seduction best captures the visual appeal of Briza Net Zero. Its clean lines, tactile materials and minimalist presence create an emotional connection with users, transforming a technical object into a statement piece that can proudly be featured in a space. This seductive quality is underpinned by a deep sense of responsibility, as the product is engineered to operate efficiently and sustainably over the long term.
How important is it to make sustainable solutions attractive?
We believe that sustainable solutions are particularly effective when they also have an attractive design, as people connect more with what they find beautiful and intuitive. By creating a system that is both environmentally responsible and aesthetically compelling, we aim to position sustainability not as a necessity but as a deliberate and desirable design choice.
