Red Dot: How do the STABILIZED 10x25 S and STABILIZED 12x25 S binoculars enhance the user experience?
This product offers a depth of experience that one wouldn’t expect from compact binoculars with small apertures. The rule of thumb is the larger the diameter of binoculars, the larger the field of vision and the more intense the experience. However, many larger binoculars are heavy and can cause fatigue with prolonged use. We opted for a straightforward design that minimises size and combines the technological prowess of our binoculars with the user-friendliness of our cameras. The result was a compact, lightweight design. The binoculars also reduce the image blurring caused by hand movements, providing an experience that was previously only available with large, heavy devices and allowing the user to relax and enjoy the view.
Why did you choose such a simplistic design?
I think the most outstanding feature of the binoculars is their high performance and stability despite their compact dimensions. To emphasise this advantage, we opted for straight lines and a look that is both minimalist and elegant.
To what extent did sustainability play a role?
Binoculars are often used by nature lovers, so it was important for us to select eco-friendly materials. We were aware of the fact that recycled materials tend to fluctuate in quality but we wanted to maximise our product’s lifespan. So we chose sustainable materials for the parts that are easy to replace; and as the designer, I’m happy to know that the product will bring many years of enjoyment to its owners.
