The Russian Premier League is the country’s main football championship, which has the best teams competing against each other. With the aim of building a prominent brand, a competition to develop a new logo design for the league was held in 2018. The new logo of the brand is based on the archetypal symbol of Russia – a bear with a piercing look. The bear is inscribed into the pentagon of a classic football and shows the colours of the Russian flag: white, red and blue. These contrasting colours blend together and symbolise the competitive spirit which is present in any sport, especially in football.
