Red Dot: How does the GROHE SPA Allure Gravity bathroom fittings range stand out?

The goal was to design a premium bathroom fittings series that stands as a bold design statement while offering unlimited possibilities for personalisation: interchangeable plates and the use of materials like Caesarstone, glass and mirrored glass allows full customisation in line with consumer expectations.

Why is it important for your customers to have a wide variety of options?

Personalising our spaces – especially the bathroom – is more meaningful than ever. It’s where we start and end our days, and we enjoy making it our own. From fixtures to finishes, every detail can reflect our personal style and enhance our sense of overall well-being. The Allure Gravity range, with its slim, square silhouette and its interchangeable cover plates, offers endless ways to express personal preferences.

How were you able to combine the high demands on aesthetics and on technology in the product?

We followed a holistic approach that placed equal emphasis on form and function. Visually, the geometric silhouette and the floating appearance of the surfaces create a modern, elegant aesthetic. At the same time, the technical construction was engineered to support this refined look – especially through the integration of the interchangeable plates, which allow for seamless customisation without compromising functionality. Additionally, innovations like the integrated shelf that doubles as a water outlet showcase how design and technology can merge into one intuitive and elegant solution.
