LG Electronics received 13 distinctions in the Red Dot Award: Communication Design 2015. Based on this outstanding communication competence, the global manufacturer of consumer electronics was awarded with the title of honour “Red Dot: Brand of the Year 2015”. The South Korean global player has succeeded like no other company to build a global presence with innovative designs and communication solutions. The primary objective of LG is to make the company’s tagline – “Life’s Good” – something that consumers experience directly. The outstanding digital projects that won a Red Dot in 2015 included “Kids Mode”, an Android app that allows several users to log on to just one tablet at the same time. Parents get an account that allows them to monitor their children’s online behaviour and to decide which apps the children can access.
